The following schedule is to prepare our athletes for the National Championships in Fargo, ND. This is a great opportunity for those that are not going to get quality workouts through that time as well. This program will be a combination of wrestling, strength training, and cardio through the following six week cycle. We will gradually build additional days into this cycle, and all practices should be attended by those who are looking to go participate in Nationals.
Practices begin again starting tomorrow (Wednesday, June 1st) at 5:00pm. Practices will be held Monday and Wednesday from 5:00pm to roughly 6:30pm through June 15. June 20 through June 30 practice days will increase to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 5:30pm. During these two weeks we will make sure to alter our workouts to keep this program enjoyable but impactful and include plenty of cross training.
INWTC will not hold practice on Monday July 4th in observance of Independence Day, but will practice that week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 5:00pm. That following week (July 11-13) practice will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 5:00pm, as the team will be leaving to Fargo, ND on Thursday July 14th.
Please bring running shoes along with wrestling shoes to all practices, as we will take advantage of the warm weather by utilizing the football field and track for warmups and/or conditioning.
Also, for supplemental training, Coach Kevin Roberts hosts a variety of wrestling camps with information that is posted at his camp website www.robertswrestling.com
For the other camps (held at Roberts Facility, Spokane Area) check in is 12 Noon, on the first day of each camp. These camps include the following and are available to commuter and resident campers (food and lodging included):
We hope to see you all at practice, and reach out if you have any questions.
